An inquiry project in which students research personalities from the Australian Gold Rush and portray them as part of a Living Wax Museum.
This teaching resource is an inquiry project for students to research significant people during the Australian Gold Rush.
Students can either choose a name or be allocated a name from the Australian Gold Rush: Living Wax Museum Suggestion Cards.
Students will use the inquiry template to form questions and conduct their research, according to relevant classroom requirements. Once the research process has been completed, students write and develop an oral presentation to perform as a Living Wax Museum figure.
This project would make a great class exhibition that fellow students, teachers, school staff and parents could visit and interact with. Students can make it even more authentic by dressing up and creating stations that have interactive buttons. The creative possibilities are endless!
