A range of different punctuation characters that can be cut out and used as puppets.

This teaching resource is a cut-out activity for students to create stick puppets or finger puppets to help them interact with punctuation cues. Use the colour version, or get students to colour in the black-and-white version to bring these punctuation characters to life. These can be adhered to pop sticks or craft sticks, or use the available strip to turn them into finger puppets.

Punctuation symbols include:

  • full stop
  • exclamation mark
  • question mark
  • comma
  • colon
  • semicolon
  • quotation marks
