I tried a few different ways with different classes… My Year 7s loved creating stories in small groups, which some then improvised and presented. With Year 9, we used the dice widget to determine narrative elements for a whole class story. We then planned the main points of action, broke them into scenes. Allocated one scene to each group, gave them time to create their little scenes and then each group presented in order. It was so much fun! Even the older kids loved it, because they could add their own details and flourishes and then they didn’t think it was too ‘kiddy’. 馃檪

Thanks so much for letting us all know how it went.
It’s always great getting feedback from the classroom.

I can’t wait to use this with my Year 7 Drama class tomorrow! They’ll work in groups to create short role-plays using the narrative elements they get from each roll. 馃檪
